(Nevada, IA) -- Trevin Nicholson of Colorado has been charged with murdering his girlfriend's two-year-old son in Ames, and was moved to Story County Jail on Thursday.
He had been previously held at the Douglas County Jail in Colorado. Nicholson caused fatal injuries to the toddler while babysitting on two occasions.
The boy's mother, Danielle Obrecht, is facing charges for not reporting abuse. Police say the child could have survived is she reported the injuries days later.
