(Des Moines, Iowa) -- A Des Moines woman is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, after a shooting earlier this month.
Des Moines Police say 27 year-old Kayla Thompson claimed to have been assaulted at a home in the Merle Hay neighborhood on October 19th. Investigators say she left the scene but returned with a gun about an hour later and started shooting.
A criminal complaint in the case says one person was hurt in the shooting. Thompson is being held at the Polk County Jail.
