Will we win? Iowa goes to court to preserve State law over mask mandates

THIS IS JUST SO SAD! Drawings of children wearing masks adorn a hallway! This is not Iowa, but it wouldn't shock me if it was.

There's a law in Iowa. It says if you want to mask up your kid to send him or her to school, then you can. It also says, if you don't want to, well that's just fine too. Essentially it's about freedom and a parent's right to make decisions about their kids.

Then the ARC of Iowa and the ACLU decided to sue the State and a single activist hack judge, overturned the law passed in both chambers of the Iowa State House and signed into law by Governor Reynolds.

This judge then delayed making a final decision and this extra time allowed school boards that wished to, to announce a mask up policy and parents were silenced once more.

Two Iowa parents have joined in the Governor's appeal with one saying her kid has asthma and doesn't get enough clean oxygen in a mask.

Local media however, has countered that claim. KCCI reached out to the The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America!

"The use of a face mask is beneficial to those with mild cases of asthma. It says masks can reduce the amount of pollen inhaled, and keep you warm during cold weather." I literally laughed out loud when I read that.

Anyway, the appeal is today. Will Iowa win?
