Iowa Contracting 100 Healthcare Workers

(Undated) -- The wait time in many Iowa hospitals could soon be going down. The Iowa Department of Public Health is taking national applications to hire 100 health care professionals. This comes as Iowa is seeing the most coronavirus hospitalizations of 2021, though that's still half of what the hospitalization peak was last year. Public Health says the new nurses and respiratory therapists will help out at 17 facilities across the state. City's that will be receiving help include Des Moines, Ames, Iowa City, Waterloo, Davenport, Council Bluffs, and Sioux City.
