(Fort Dodge, IA) -- An inmate at Webster County Jail escaped from the jail Saturday night leading police on a vehicle chase into early Sunday morning.
Police say inmate Jordan Mefferd propped a third story exit door open and used sheets to climb down into an alley.
Fort Dodge police officers then pursued Mefferd after he was seen on camera getting into a Chevy Impala.
Mefferd was taken into custody and now faces felony charges for eluding police and escaping.
A female passenger was also arrested and charged with aiding and abetting felony escape and violation of probation.
