(Johnston, IA) -- The Johnston and Grimes Metro Fire Department are now more prepared for dangerous ice rescues. The crews were out on Johnston's Pointe Vista Park pond practicing techniques for rescuing someone that has fallen through the ice. Lieutenant Nic Hutchinson says this is the perfect weather to practice these types of rescues.
