(Omaha, NE) -- Monday would have been Betty White's 100th birthday. In the days following, the charity movement in her name is giving gifts.
The Betty White Challenge raises money for animal-focused nonprofits nationwide, and is bringing tens of thousands of dollars to the Nebraska Humane Society.
"Unbelievable for such an organic fundraiser that we really didn’t need to do much promotion for! Many thanks to our community for their incredible generosity in the name of such an iconic animal supporter. And of course huge thanks to Betty White whose passion lives on," an NHS spokeswoman tells 6 News.
The Nebraska Humane Society says they've received over $30,000 in the name of Betty White, so far.
