Omaha Police Accident Investigators early Friday morning released the name of a pedestrian killed after being hit by a vehicle late Thursday night near 95th Avenue and Maple Street.
They say 35-year old Victoria Castro of Omaha died at a hospital after being taken there by paramedics with C-P-R in progress.
Police say the woman was walking in the westbound traffic lanes of Maple around ten o'clock when she was hit by a S-U-V.
Investigators say the westbound driver tried to steer the Chevy Equinox out of the way, but was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
There were no other injuries;
