(Des Moines, IA) -- Police announced today (Sat) a Missouri man has been charged with first degree murder after fatally assaulting a man in Des Moines last September.
Tony Hyde of Columbia Missouri was charged for the assault of Timothy Thacker in 2021.
Hyde was originally charged with willful injury causing serious injury, but was changed to first degree murder after the Polk County medical examiner ruled Thacker's death a homicide.
