(Independence, IA) -- A woman from Independence will serve ten years in prison for embezzling tens of thousands of dollars.
Maureen Kimmerle reportedly took almost $70,000 from a local mental health union and changed records to cover it up between 2011 and 2020.
Kimmerle is pleading guilty to multiple charges and will also pay victim restitution.
