(Urbandale, Iowa) -- An Urbandale man is being charged with neglect.
Police say 74 year-old Gregory Quick left his partner, Ann Essy, lying on the floor for four days after a fall. A criminal complaint in the case says Quick admitted to leaving Essy on the floor without food, water, or medication. He eventually called for emergency assistance, and Essy was taken to an area hospital where she died a few days later.
Quick was arrested on Sunday and is out on bond. He's due in court next Tuesday.
