(West Des Moines, IA) -- West Des Moines city leaders are working to make more housing available to people making a low to moderate income.
"It really kind of ties into economic development," says West Des Moines' Director of Community and Economic Development, Clyde Evans. "Housing has become a workforce issue."
New programs are working to make rental units more affordable and loosening rules to make it easier for certain developments to get off the ground.
