Iowa Wins Big 10 Men's Basketball Title, Heads to Buffalo for NCAA Tourney

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Keegan Murray and Jordan Bohannon, both named to the Big Ten Men's Basketball All-Tournament Team, lead the Iowa Hawkeyes to their first Big 10 Men's Basketball Championship since 2006.

Iowa topples the Purdue Boilermakers 75-66, winning their fourth game in four days en route to the conference title.

All-Big 10 first teamer Keegan Murray led the Hawks to the victory, playing 40 minutes, recording 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Iowa's depth pieces also contributed to the win, with Sophomore Tony Perkins scoring 11 points and Freshman Payton Sandfort scoring 10 points.

The Hawkeyes set the single-week Big 10 Tournament scoring record with 351 points. The Hawkeyes broke the previous record of 322 points, set by Ohio State last year.

After becoming the fourth team to win the Big 10 Championship after winning four games in four days, Iowa will have a few days off before traveling to Buffalo.

The 5th-seeded Hawkeyes will play 12th-seeded Richmond on Thursday, March 17th at 2:10 pm (ct).
