(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines has sent a heads up to contractors and residents needing any time sensitive approval because the city's computers will be down. The city says on Facebook it's implementing a software upgrade to the city's permitting, licensing, and cashiering systems starting Friday, April 8th at 11:00 A.M. The city says people should submit permit or license applications, pay fees, upload files to the Customer Self-Service portal, or request inspections before then. The city says the upgrades should be completed by next Monday, April 11th at 7:00 A.M.
