(Undated) -- Hy-Vee and Hormel are back giving out free hams to Iowa families in need in time for Easter. Hy-Vee employees and first responders are giving away 5,000 hams for the 5th annual Hams for the Holidays event in the Midwest. Hams will be given out at the Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids at 950 Rockford Road starting at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. Also on Wednesday in Des Moines at Evelyn Davis Park at 5:00 p.m. Families in Sioux City, Davenport and Dubuque got their hams Monday. Hy-Vee says it and Hormel have also given and are giving away hams in Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, South Dakota and Wisconsin this week.
