(Des Moines, IA) -- Two teenagers are in the hospital after traffic accident just minutes after school was let out near Lincoln High School.
Des Moines Police say two cars collided near the intersection of SW 9th Street and Kirkwood Avenue, north of Lincoln High. The accident sent one of the vehicles into to teens walking on a nearby sidewalk.
WHO 13 reports the teens were taken from the scene by ambulance with serious injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
