Omaha Fire Investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a home in the Miller Park area of North Omaha.
There were no injuries in the fire Tuesday evening along Florence Blvd. near Kansas Avenue;
Investigators say the fire was under and around a rear deck;
They say the occupants safely escaped, but left the back door open, allowing fire to enter the interior and causing significant damage to the main floor.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire moving up the rear of the home, and inside the back half of the main floor, spreading into structural areas.
It took firefighters about two hours to bring the fire under control.
