(Warren Co., IA) -- The Iowa State Patrol is reporting a man from Milo is dead after a rural single-car accident.
The report says 79-year-old John Dittmer was traveling southbound on Highway S31 northeast of Milo in Warren County when his truck veered off the road, went into a ditch, and eventually came to a stop in a field across the roadway. First responders pronounced Dittmer dead at the scene. The cause of the accident has not been determined and remains under investigation.
