(Undated) -- The Iowa Department of Transportation reports 85 car accident deaths in the state so far this year. That’s an increase of nine since last Friday and an increase of 19 from this time last year. The DOT is urging people on its Facebook page to stay off their phones while driving. It says the Fear of Missing Out or FOMO is real and people should put their phones in the glove box or somewhere not easily accessible. There were 355 deaths on the road last year in Iowa.
