(Des Moines, IA) -- One person's dead after a house fire in east Des Moines. The fire broke out in the 800 block of Knob Hill Drive just before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. The fire department says two people were trapped inside. One person was rescued but the other person was later found dead inside the house. Their name hasn't been released but the fire department describes them as an elderly person. The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
