For what's left of this school year, Westside Community Schools says off-duty police officers are being placed at Westside Middle School to prevent and break up fights.
The school district says the decision follows a few recent physical altercations at the District 66 school near 84th and West Center Road.
Two off-duty officers are already on the school grounds in addition to the School Resource Officer.
The district says more officers may be deployed if the problem remains.
