The Omaha office of the National Weather Service says much of the area is in an enhanced risk for severe storms late Thursday afternoon through the evening.

They expect thunderstorms to develop in central Nebraska late in the afternoon and then move east through the evening.
Hail up to 2 inches in diameter is possible, along with damaging winds, locally heavy rains, and a small chance for isolated tornadoes.
