(Jasper County, Iowa) -- More than 40 headstones are damaged after suspected vandalism at a cemetery in Jasper County.
The Jasper County Sheriff's Office says it received reports of the damaged headstones on Saturday at Bethany Cemetery. Deputies met with the cemetery's Board of Trustees to determine the cost of the damage, which was estimated to be $1,400. A total of 43 headstones were damaged, and investigators have determined the damage happened between May 11th and May 14th.
