Forecasters say record temps in Omaha/CB and surrounding areas will drop with a cool front and increased storm chances.
After a windy, hot day in which records for high temperatures are expected to be set in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, a cold front will lead to thunderstorm activity and a cool down into the weekend.
The Omaha office of the National Weather Service says there is still a slight risk for severe storms this evening, but they should stay to the north and east of the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area, into much of Iowa.
