(Omaha, NE) -- Two local organizations are teaming up to host a candlelight vigil to remember the victims of recent mass shootings.
The Metro Young Latino Professionals Association and the Tri-Faith Initiative are holding the vigil at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7th at Tri-Faith Commons at 13136 Faith Plaza, near 132nd and Pacific Streets.
The Facebook invite states the vigil will primarily reflect on the mass shootings in Uvalde, Texas, where 19 children and two teachers died on May 24th; Buffalo, New York, where 10 people were killed on May 14th; and Laguna Woods, California, where another was killed on May 15th.
The vigil was announced Tuesday, prior to a shooting at a Tulsa medical office, where a surgeon and three other hospital staff died.
