(Des Moines, Iowa) -- The City of Des Moines is planning a renovation of Cohen Park, located in the 1000 block of Scott Avenue.
The plan includes adding a half basketball court, a boulder climbing wall, an interactive ball wall, called Sutu, and more. The climbing wall and Sutu wall would be free and open to public use, a first in Iowa. The City of Des Moines says the project is subject to City Council approval and has to fall within the city's available budget. Friends of Des Moines Parks is accepting donations for the project online, with a $25,000 goal.
