(Des Moines, IA) -- Light rain did not hamper the opening of the Des Moines Arts Festival today (Friday) in the Western Gateway of downtown Des Moines. The event, featuring nearly 200 artists will continue throughout the weekend. It's one of the largest summer-time festivals in Des Moines.
Hours: Friday, June 24, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Des Moines Arts Festival will feature 195 visual artists from around the country who have been selected from a competitive jury process.
Along with the festival, is the Interrobang Film Festival. Organizers say this year there are entries from 12 states and seven countries.
