(Iowa) -- The state of Iowa is awarding a $6,000,000 dollar grant to the upcoming Field of Dreams television series.
Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority made the announcement Monday. The series is one of four projects receiving grant funding through the Destination Iowa program. The limited series will be filmed in several Iowa counties, including Polk, Mahaska, Boone, and Clinton and air on Peacock, NBC's streaming service.
The other projects included in the Destination Iowa program include:
- The Siouxland Regional Trail System - awarded $7,000,000
- Polk County Conservation's Easter Lake North Shore Project - awarded $2,500,000
- Dallas County Conservation -'s plan to connect the Raccoon River Valley Trail and the High Trestle Trail - awarded $1,000,000
Funding is made available through the federal American Rescue Plan Act.
