(Council Bluffs, IA) -- Construction is coming to Council Bluffs on Madison Avenue. Iowa DOT says the city will resurface the northbound lanes of Madison Avenue next week, starting the morning of Monday, July 11th.
Closures will include Madison Avenue between Rue Street and Woodbury Avenue, the ramp from Madison to eastbound Interstate 80, and the ramp from westbound I-80 to Madison. The roadwork will also include changes in traffic patterns. Drivers exiting eastbound I-80 to Madison will only be able to turn right.
Iowa DOT says construction will continue through Friday, Jully 15th, weather permitting. Detours for interstate and local travel will be posted.
