(Quad Cities, IA/IL) -- The westbound span of the I-74 Mississippi River Bridge is receiving a 2022 Prize Bridge Award.
The American Institute of Steel Construction and the National Steel Bridge Alliance award bridges every two years for design, construction, and benefit to the public.
The westbound span of the new I-74 bridge was nominated because it was the only span open to vehicle traffic; the bridge won the 'Major Span' category.
