The investigation, including the effort to identify a truck driver who died, continues following a crash involving a semi-tractor trailer carrying grain and a "Iowa Interstate Railroad" freight train in eastern Pottawattamie County, south of Walnut, Iowa.
Sheriff’s Department investigators say the crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at a railroad crossing on 510th Street near Rosewood Road.
The sheriff's office says the crossing is protected by warning lights, which investigators say were working as the eastbound train came through.
Law enforcement says the truck caught fire after being dragged nearly 150 yards, and several train cars jumped the tracks.
Federal transportation investigators will also be involved.
