(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Police say a woman is in stable condition after a stabbing Tuesday morning.
Police say the stabbing happened a little after 6am Tuesday outside a the Quik Trip at 3941 SE 14th Street on Des Moines' southeast side. Investigators say a male stabbed the woman in the abdomen during an argument. The woman was taken to an area hospital in serious but stable condition, and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police say a suspect is in custody. His name has not yet been released. The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
