Douglas County Corrections reports an inmate death.
A spokesperson says 33-year-old John Ehrhart-Plowman was found unresponsive in his cell Wednesday evening.
Corrections says repeated efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was declared deceased by the Omaha Fire Department paramedics, who responded and took over life-saving care.
The County says Ehrhart-Plowman was jailed last Saturday on suspicion of Third Degree Domestic Assault.
A grand jury will investigate the death under the Nebraska law that says such an investigation will happen whenever someone dies in custody or while being taken into custody.
