The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office announces the department and "Getac Video Solutions" have finished the roll out of the body-worn camera program.
The say all operational deputies to include Uniform Patrol, Fugitive Warrants, K-9, and Court Security are now actively wearing a camera.
The testing and evaluation period lasted over three years, and the Sheriff's office says they wanted to ensure the selection of a "BWC" system that could cover the many functions of the Douglas County Sheriff at the lowest cost to taxpayers.
