Trappers across the state may be able to help the Iowa Department of Natural Resources with a new study on gray foxes.
The D-N-R plans to put tracking collars on the foxes to study their habits as part of an effort to understand their declining population.
They are offering a 400-dollar reward to trappers who catch live, healthy gray foxes.
The foxes can be found statewide but are most common in eastern and southern Iowa.
