(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island Police Department is searching for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run crash Tuesday.
Police say officers responded to reports of the two-way crash at the intersection of Route 92 and the off-ramp at Centennial Bridge. Investigators say the crash was between a Chevrolet and a Hyundai, the driver of which fled the scene. Two people were taken to the hospital, one of which, the driver of the Chevrolet died of his injuries. The other person, a passenger in the Hyundai, is in stable condition.
