(Grimes, IA) -- The City of Grimes is partnering with Metro Waste Authority to offer a site where residents can drop off old, broken, or non-functioning Christmas lights.
The site opened on Monday at the Grimes Public Library and will operate through January 19th. Lights that will be accepted include:
- Plastic lights
- LEDs
- Glass bulbs
- Net lights
- Icicle lights
- Battery powered lights
The lights gathered will be taken to the Metro Waste Authority's Metro Hazardous Waste Drop-Off.
