(West Des Moines, IA) -- Fire caused about $300,000 in damages to a West Des Moines condo complex last (Tuesday) night. Crews were called to the Stoneridge Condos at 11-hundred 50th Street, near the west mix master around 7:40 p.m.
Westcom dispatch reported getting multiple calls describing dark smoke coming from the building. Crews arrived and searched the building for occupants and worked to put out the fire which was spreading from the first floor to the 2nd and 3rd floors.
The West Des Moines Fire Department says 26-people were displaced. There were no injuries and no word yet on how the fire started.
