Suspect’s Wife Facing Charges In Quadruple Homicide

(Laurel, NE) -- A woman is now facing charges in the quadruple homicide her husband is accused of committing.

The Nebraska State Patrol arrested Carrie Jones, the wife of suspect Jason Jones, in connection to the August 4 shootings and arsons.

She’s charged with first-degree homicide, tampering with physical evidence, and accessory to a felony. NSP says the ongoing investigation into the Jones’ phone records revealed that Carrie was involved. She was arrested on Friday and is being held at Antelope County Jail.

Jason Jones is accused of killing 86-year-old Gene Twiford, 85-year-old Janet Twiford, 55-year-old Dana Twiford, and 53-year-old Michele Ebeling, then setting their homes on fire.

His next court appearance is set for January 23.
