(Floyd County, IA) -- The Iowa State Patrol says a Charles City man is dead after losing control of his truck and crashing Monday afternoon.
The ISP says the crash happened around 2:30pm when the driver, Julius Briant, slid on some ice, lost control of his truck, and went into a ditch. The truck then hit a creek bank and rolled onto the driver's side. Briant was partially thrown from the vehicle. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The ISP is continuing to investigate the crash.
