(Lincoln, NE) -- The Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission releases its 2022, year-end gaming tax revenue report.
The report details both the total Nebraska gaming tax revenue and a breakdown of tax revenue distribution.
2022 Totals:
- Total Gaming tax revenue [Statewide]: $2,806,557.33
- Nebraska Property Tax Relief Fund: $1,964,590.13
- Nebraska General Fund: $70,163.93
- Compulsive Gaming Assistance Fund: $70,163.93
- City of Lincoln: $338,675.01
- Lancaster County: $338,675.01
- City of Grand Island: 12,144.66
- Hall County: 12,144.66
Grand Island and Lincoln are home to Nebraska's two non-Native owned casinos. A third is expected to open in Omaha later this year.
“The December 2022 gaming tax revenue report provides the first available reporting of revenue available for Grand Island Casino & Resort which opened just weeks ago,” said Nebraska Racing and Gaming Executive Director Tom Sage. “The cumulative gaming tax revenue of $2,806,557.33 generated in 2022 will provide alternative sources of revenue for cities and counties that have authorized gaming operations.”
