(Undated) -- The Big 12 is releasing this year's college football schedule. The Iowa State Cyclones open the season against the University of Northern Iowa September 2nd. The Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk game pitting the Cyclones against the Iowa Hawkeyes will be September 9th in Ames. ISU's last non-conference game will be against Ohio September 16th.
ISU will have six home games at MidAmerican Energy Field at Jack Trice Stadium.
The Cyclones open Big 12 play at home against Oklahoma State (Sept. 23). It will be the first time since 1997, the Big 12 Conference's inaugural season, that Iowa State will begin league play against the Cowboys in Ames.
