(Lincoln, NE) -- Nebraska lawmakers are considering a bill that would lower minimum wage for teenagers. The bill introduced Monday would set the minimum wage for 14 to 17-year-olds at $9/hour. It would then increase to $10/hour by 2026. Supporters of the bill say it would help small businesses and give teens more job opportunities. Opponents say it would make it harder for kids to help support their families. The bill remains in committee.
