(Muscatine, IA) -- The Muscatine Fire Department is seeing more calls for service.
The fire department saw a record of more than 5,900 calls, 200 more than the previous year.
The department says service calls have been increasing by 47 percent over the last decade with more than 5,000 calls each year for the previous six.
The department says the majority of the service calls were medical incidents.
