(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A Cedar Rapids man has been charged in connection with a shooting last summer on I-380. Police say 20-year-old James D. Kellup is charged with:
*Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon
*Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony
The shooting happened August 24th on I-380 near the H Avenue area. Kellup was arrested on an outstanding warrant and booked into the Linn County Jail.
Investigators say according to witnesses, someone in a bronze--colored SUV leaned out the passenger-side window and fired multiple gunshots at a second vehicle on I-380.
Police said they believe the people from both vehicles know each other and the shooting was not a random event.
