(Lincoln, NE) -- A broken pipe caused a water service disruption for around 600 inmates Friday at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. The line services four minimum-custody housing units. According to a press release, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says contractors are currently working on the issue. They hope to have service restored by Saturday. Portable restrooms and bottled water have been brought to the penitentiary for those impacted.
