After dispatching Villanova 87-74 late last night in the Big East Tournament, the 24th ranked Creighton mens' basketball team plays No. 15 Xavier at 8 p.m. Central Friday evening at Madison Square Garden, New York in the semifinals.
The winner advances to the Saturday evening championship game and a chance at the conference autobid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Bluejays are now 24 -11 overall, while Xavier, a Jesuit university like Creighton, is 24-8.
In last night's quarterfinal win over Villanova, Creighton never trailed.
