Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Omaha/Valley say rain will change over to snow across most of the Omaha/Council Bluffs region on Thursday as a cold front moves in.
Strong winds behind the front may produce near blizzard conditions at times, especially in northeast Nebraska into northwest Iowa.
Rapidly falling temperatures may lead to slick and icy conditions on the roads and sidewalks.
A Winter Storm Watch will go into effect through most of Thursday for parts of east central and northeast Nebraska, and parts of central Iowa.
