(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa State Troopers took part in more than 43-hundred traffic stops during March 11th through March 19th.
The enforcement effort was part of a national program, focusing on spring break and St. Patrick's Day.
Nearly half of the traffic stops involved speeding.
The I-S-P says during that time, they also stopped 35 people for driving under the influence.
