Omaha Police identify and release the name of the person injured in a shooting near 44th Avenue and Pinkney.
Investigators say 23-year old Kandice Edwards was taken to a hospital by Omaha Fire Paramedics in serious condition, but her injuries are not considered life threatening.
Officers responded to the scene in the ten p.m. hour Tuesday on a "ShotSpotter" technology alert.
They located shell casings and found the victim inside a nearby residence.
